Sr. Business Intelligence Consultant

What you will do: Participate in planning and estimating sessions with clients Analyze business requirements and design solutions and recommendations based on established best practices for business intelligence / analytics Design and develop Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and subject specific Data Marts Develop and validate reports and dashboards Troubleshoot query performance in SQL, DAX, M Apply machine learning / data mining practices to enable richer insights Drive strategies and adoption of business intelligence with our clients Keep up to date on the latest technologies and analytical frameworks Prepare training materials and provide user training Present at seminars / conferences Manage project tasks, status updates, issues, and timelines What you will bring: Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Management or related field 3-5 years of experience working with Business Intelligence (BI) architectures and toolsets Experience developing ETL routines and database procedures / functions Experience integrating data from a variety of sources (i.e., flat files, APIs, databases, XML) Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2012 – 2017 and the corresponding BI capabilities (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Machine Learning Services) Experience with Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Jet, TARGIT, D3 or other reporting / dashboarding tools Experience with Dimensional Modeling (i.e., Star Schema, Snowflake Schema) Preferred experience with R and/or Python for machine learning and data mining Preferred experience developing reports / dashboards against Microsoft AX / D365 Preferred experience with analytical / data management capabilities in Azure, AWS, or GCP Proven track record of providing documentation, training, and support Ability to work independently with clients and drive priorities Ability to travel up to 40% to client locations Attention to detail and strong sense of ownership Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
